CBU Partnership Programs – Hospitality & Tourism Management

Students who have completed 10 courses at CIST’s Hospitality & Tourism Management diploma program may be eligible for direct transfer into Cape Breton University’s (CBU) Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management program.

The Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management program is a three-year general degree that blends the academic disciplines of Hospitality, Tourism, Business/Management, Humanities, Social Science, and English. It includes two six-month paid industry internships between in the first and second years of study.

Core introductory courses include food theory and nutrition, computer applications, effective writing, restaurant operation and service, hospitality/tourism in Canada, humanities and sciences electives.

The Bachelor of Hospitality & Tourism Management program prepares students for rewarding careers in hotel management, food service, accommodations, event-planning and a variety of other tourism and hospitality venues.
