Fine Arts

(3 years, 1440 hours, 30 courses)
Through a balance of concept and technique, Diploma in Fine Arts students learn to perceive, read and translate the visual world. They acquire knowledge of theory, history and criticism, as well as develop their relationship to the physical production of art.

Initially, students explore and experiment with mediums, techniques and processes. Functional skills and a vocabulary in drawing, painting, mixed and alternative media, digital imaging, camera art, criticism and analysis are developed. Next, students begin and expand upon their own body of artwork.

Graduates engage in studio practice and exhibition, criticism, curatorial practice, teaching and lecturing, arts administration, graphic, illustration and mural work, art conservation and restoration. They also open galleries, form art collectives, exhibit in public and private spaces, and fully participate in the cultural community.



Career Opportunities

Fine Arts graduates are employed in various fine arts fields around the world. Fine arts and design training is fundamental to the following areas: studio art and craftwork,  graphic design, industrial design, jewelry making, animation and other film work, museum and curatorial studies, gallery operations, landscape design, art therapy and art education.
