The Performing Arts Administration program reflects the conviction that the management of cultural institutions and arts organizations.  This discipline requires planning, artistic creativity and social commitment. Successful candidates are capable of responding to the challenges and responsibilities that an arts administrator will face on a daily basis. Graduates must possess integrated management and financial skills, knowledge of the artistic process in which they are involved and sensitivity to the dynamics and educational needs of the communities they serve.

The program represents and alliance of two disciplines: arts and business. It is designed to help professionals meet the challenges of the next decade.  These challenges include: questions about the long-term health of arts organizations, their missions, governance and management, source of income, and tax regulations.



Career Opportunities

Graduates could find employment in government, private or non-profit organizations including: theatre, cinema, museum, press, advertising, Symphony Orchestra, or self-employment.
