Student Services

At Cambridge Institute of Science and Technology, we are always striving to make the transition into post-secondary education an enjoyable and informative experience.  Since the majority of our students come from abroad, we offer an array of services designed specifically to make students feel welcome at our school.  Here is a short list of the many services we provide:

Airport Pick-Up
We understand that some international students have no friends or relatives prior to arriving in Toronto.  Our staff offers airport pick-up and drop-off for international students in need of a ride.

Student Housing
Need a place to stay?  Let our friendly staff help you find your new home.  CIST keeps a list of a variety of places available for rent in and around the campus.  Some students are okay with an inexpensive basement apartment, others prefer to live in a luxurious penthouse, and let’s not forget the popular home-stay option available to many of our international students.  Students arriving from abroad will have accommodations ready for them upon arrival.

International Student Services
Bank account? Cellular phone? Car insurance? Our staff has everything covered.  Within the first few days of arrival, staff will accompany students to make sure their basic needs are met.  So if you need to help you open a bank account, rent an apartment, start a cellular phone plan, or buy a car, our staff will be eager to help.

Student Rights
To ensure a fair quality of education, the links below provide a guideline for a student's rights and responsibilities.

Introduction to Toronto
At the beginning of every school year, international students are given a presentation about living in Toronto.  The orientation includes topics ranging from local by-laws to popular shopping destinations.
